Community transformation of rural communities throughout West African countries begin with an assessment of the spiritual and physical health of the community. Trained CHE community leaders work with the community leaders to accomplish this assessment and review local resources available to meet community needs. At times our partner, Life Wind West Africa, will ask for outside assistance from HBA in providing medical help. Our medical teams have assisted with clinics that are in place, accomplished assessments of children’s health and taught community trainers health related lessons that were then taught by the trainers to community members.

Medical Team 2011

HBA Medical Teams have been made up of people that have a heart to help. There have been doctors, nurse practitioners, RN and LPNs, and medical technicians that have made up HBA teams. Also in working with the University of Arizona College of Medicine, 2nd and 3rd year medical students have traveled as part of an HBA medical team.

If you have a desire to be a part of an HBA medical team please contact Dr. Troy Tompkins on our Contact page.
